Hi! I hope you all are doing well. I am Custom Knife maker and I recently joined Blade forum to connect with knife community but I don't have idea how to use this channel like a pro is there any link from wehre I can get some tips. Thanks

Hi! Thanks for reply. Basically I am manufacturer of Custom knives and we are 10 colleagues work together making knives we need a platform to sell our work in valuable prices let me know how I can sell our knives like a pro or is there any way in which customers can give us pre order for their custom knives and we make them and ship?

In order to sell or advertise knives that you make on this forum, you need to purchase the appropriate membership level. If you were an individual knifemaker, then you would only need a Knifemaker membership (like mine), but since it appears you are a knife making business, you may need to purchase a Dealer membership.

A Moderator would be more qualified to determine which membership level you would need. My advice is to go to the Tech Support subforum, start a thread, describe your situation and what you want to do on this forum like you did in your last post, ask what membership level you need, and a Moderator will tell you.

To find the Tech Support subforum click on "Categories" in the blue banner, then click "Tech Support".

To sell knifes you’ve made you’ll need to get a Craftsman level membership. That will allow you access to the Makers subforum of the exchange to sell those knives.

Actually I've been a member here since 2002 :) .

To find the "Categories" button look in the dark blue stripe across the top of the screen. It's second from the left.

As far as how orders are placed and payment made, you start a thread in whichever section of The Exchange is most appropriate for your membership level and what you're selling, you post a description of the knife, preferably several good photos, post a price that includes shipping costs, indicate which manner of payment you want to use (PayPal, money order, etc), then if another member posts that they want to buy, or sends you a private message indicating they want to buy, you arrange payment and shipping. It is customary for payment to be sent to the seller before the knife is shipped to the buyer.

To find The Exchange (Knife Exchange), it's the button in the blue stripe at the far left at the top of the screen

Bladeforums does not operate like Ebay. Bladeforums does not provide a format for people to place orders or collect payment for the seller. The Bladeforums Exchange operates like classified ads, you have to do everything yourself. And there are no auctions permitted here like on Ebay.

And you will most certainly want to read the rules of The Exchange that sbh06 linked above. Read them, learn them, live them. If your sales post violates those rules it can be deleted.

If you are looking to advertise yourself as a custom knife maker in the hopes that people will contact you to ask for knives to be made, start a thread in The Custom Shop: Services Offered subforum.

Also, with a Knifemaker/Craftsman/Service Provider membership you can request your own subforum here at Bladeforums.

I was a custom knife maker for 25 years and had to retire due to developing Asthma & wear & tear on the old body,….i suggest you post as many pictures as you can of your different models & also there is a “ Pass Around thread “ where you can send a knife of yours & get feedback from other Forum members.. Most are very honest here & will send the knife on to the next person on the list or back to you………………….. I personally sold as many as I could make so I never pursued the pass around thread. And only sold a few & gave away a couple to people who had become friends here on BFs ………..Wish you the best!

How it will be worth to make a premium knife and do giveaway. Is that worth. I need best way to find collector and interested person who can buy our work. Your help will be appreciated.
