As the proud owner of three Spydies, one from China, two from Japan, I'm looking to add to my collection.

What is the least expensive U.S. made model? Looking for a 2.5" - 3.5" folder.

Paramilitary or a Military can be had for that price. Also a Manix 2 is sitting steady at about $85 shipped.

The C41 Native is made in Golden. Do a search, I think you'll find that it is very reasonably priced.

Para-Military fits the bill perfectly. I have one in my pocket right now.
Great knife and an absolute must have Spyderco.

The Native is a nice size knife for EDC, but whenever buying an knife I always try to get something a little different from anything else I already have. Color, size, locking mechanism, handle material are all considered.

Since I already have a backlock (Endura 4) I'm leaning toward the Manix. The only aspect of that knife I don't like is the lock release being made of grey plastic. Not liking that look.

Anyone have the Manix and have closeup pics of the knife? Thanks in advance!

For your price point you can get two golden natives. the s30v is pretty nice and the ergos are great...one of my favorite knives

another vote for the native. it's such a great knife. love the ergonomics, carries very well, great steel. And half the price of anything else you mentioned...

The S30V Native is a great deal, S30V is a good workhorse steel and will hold its edge very well.
If you want something a little more fun and fancy I'd get the Manix 2. That thing is ridiculously well priced for the features it has.

If you're gonna spend that $120 on a good USA Spyderco, get something that's well above a foreign product, Manix 2, Para, Mili. All are around your price. The Native is fine, but it isn't anything special compared to the foreign offerings.

I bought a Military for use in Iraq, and liked it so much I bought several more. They can be had for around a hundred dollars, especially if one doesn't mind used. I recently bought an orange Military for just over a hundred bucks, on ebay.

I was very impressed by the knife when I got the first one; some very thoughtful design features there, very light weight, tight lockup, great blade, ergonomic, just the right size for what it is. I'd like to try the paramilitary for a slightly smaller blade, but can't say enough good about the military model.
