Not sure if this has been asked but here goes...
When it comes to knives, what is your least favorite, or least useful blade length (in your opinion)?
I seem to have a gap in my collection. My fixed blades are usually 3" to 4.5" for usual camp/hunting chores and 7"+ for heavy/field work. I'm completely satisfied with knives in those ranges and have not found a use for knives in the 5" to 6" range yet.
6" seems a bit large for brushcraft and camp chores and too short for chopping and heavy work. A friend of mine has a Black Jack AWAC, and while its a very nice knife, its just an odd size and doesn't appeal to me at all.
When it comes to shorter knives (folders), I have found just about all lengths useful for one task or another. From 1.5" sheepsfoot blades on Stockman's to 4" EDC's for everything from dressing game to opening the mail, I can justify any of 'em.
So if you had to choose a blade length to leave out of your collection, what would it be?
