Looking for the thread that had recs for leather belts, it was about 3-6 months ago, and I can't find it on search....anyone have a link, or care to start new recs?

Am looking for black shark, black bull or black alligator in 1 1/2" heavy duty, gunbelt style rather than a fashionable dress belt.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

Can't resist but a 1.5" black alligator gun belt do seem strange to this old pilgrim. You toting a firearm or just something to hold your pants up?

I plan to order a Galco Firm Contour belt, color Havanna.. $104 MSRP. Purpose dress/concealed carry gun belt.

You'll get some better answers/comments is my guess.

Have been sporting the Firm since 1992, great belt, you can't go wrong, imo.

THIS belt is for holding up my pants, and showing off my really cool Montana Silversmith's buckle.:)

+4 on the beltman. I have an 1-1/2" black leather belt that I have worn almost everyday for a little over two years now.

I originally bought it for carrying my firearm but it turned into my everyday belt after a month or two.

And its also turning into my suit belt. Beltman makes some great stuff.

S.G.-glad you brought this one up. The leather belt I purchased from what could only be termed as a hippie who made moccasins for a living 30 years ago is about worn out. I have tried 8 or 9 different belts and cannot find anything satisfactory. I appreciate the links, guys, thanks.

Never miss a chance to visit a Lehman's store..Amish county in OH. You can tie your horse to the hitching rail as I recall.

I was about to post how I must be in the minority in buying my belts for <$20 at Kohls or JCPenney. I like (and can afford) the Lehman ones. I dont CCW so I just need something to hold up my pants. I admittedly can't see forking over $100 on a belt. Maybe one day I'll earn the "resident cheap a*s" title here at BF.

+5 or 7 on The Belt Man. Excellent product. It even holds my pants up. One thing though. It's very stiff and after wearing it for two months it shows no signs of getting softer. They are definitely gun belts and may not be suitable for casual wear.

I have a 30 year old Bianchi belt that is very worn and comfortable. It has not stretched half an inch in all those years and the stitches are still tight.

Milt Sparks makes great belts. They are pre-curved--they lay in an arc, not a straight line--so they conform to your hips while wearing.

Beltman belts are very good, especially for the price. I recently got a Milt Sparks belt and it is just fantastic. Expensive and a long wait but just absolutely beautiful and rock solid.

I have been rocking a Ross gunbelt for nearly 6 years now. Zero stretch and still looks good with a little wax now and again. I also have a Kramer horsehide that has seen much use as well. I reccomend. either.
