Leather color?

I’m not really sure were to put this so if it belongs somewhere else please move it to the appropriate place. I just finished making a knife and have been working on a sheath for it. The problem I am having is that I am using two different color leathers. I am putting a pouch on the front that uses thinner leather than the leather I’m using for the sheath it self. The thinner leather is more of a pinkish color, and the thicker leather is more of a white color. Is there any way to make the thicker leather like the thinner one? When I put mink oil on the sheath I want the two to look somewhat similar.
