well, here she is so far. This is the thin tiped knife I was asking about a few weeks ago. Would do a nice job caping so I will lable it as a thin ground caper with enough steel near the ricasso to split joints if you have to.

Am I saying that right guys? I have never dressed game that require quartering so help me out ;)

hehe you use a hand saw for that.. though I have done that just to play with my knives, works on heads too.. :) but the point had to go in and work it with leverage.. :) oh BTW good lokking batch :)

Dan,
Thats too cool that you can sand the wood to 400 grit and the stain just brings out that pattern. The Amboyna is only sanded to 220. Its a wierd wod but looks nice!

Very nice, I realy like the curly maple, very pleasing lines. On a knife that will be used to seperate joints it needs a pretty tuff point. Most people down here don't use a knife though, they take a saw or hatchet.

I etch with Ferric Chloride. This would be a good knife for detail cutting for sure though ;)

Nice bunch Brian. I really like that curly maple. I gotta make some more with that. Forgot how pretty it can be. Noticed you in Tactical knives tonight. Congrats!
