Somebody mentioned leather dye on striped
curly maple the other day and I didn't have a chanch to post. Fibg's leather dyes are great and If you use a combination of med brown and then a cordovan over the top on
curly maple It gives you a fantastic color.
I used to use it on black powder rifles I built several years ago. The brown brings
out the stripes and then the cordovan gives
it a slight cherry color. They can be mixed before hand also. It makes it really look
rich.
