A few years ago my leather smith Paul Long told me about a gentleman that was doing some fantastic work

His name is Scott Teaschner and Paul was not kidding.

Scott's also a very talented taxidermist and trad bowhunter so Paul thought we would have a lot o talk about. He was right :)

I see Scott at some of the trad shoots and what can I say ..... he's a great guy with a ton of talent , you can tell he came from the saddle making trade and his work rivals the best out there (Paul Long)

Scott caters to Trad bow hunters with arm guards , finger tabs, etc. along with his excellent sheaths.

When I saw Scott at Denon Hill I asked him to please send me pics of his work so I could post it up here for all to see and enjoy.

Scott was kind enough to do just that and sent me pics of this Terry Knipschield knife with a cocobolo handle and one of his gorgeous sheaths

Hopefully he will come on and show some of his really cool archery arm guards and other work.

I will be posting up work for Scott when he provides me with pictures

Yep, Scott does fine sheathwork. We've seen some of his work over on the CKCA forum.
There's more folks doing nice leather work than are generally in the limelight.

Yeah Joey, Scott is the real deal. His work is beautifully executed and finished. I heard about Scott first from Karl B. Andersen and finally got to meet him at Blade this year and see some of his great work in hand. His archery gear is just fantastic, and his sheath work..........well you just looked a a photo. Pretty darned nice, no?:thumbup:

I'm hoping Scotty will join us here and become a regular. Take time to check out his work a little more thoroughly. He's that good!;)

Beautiful Joe!

There is something about finely crafted leather - it just calls to a man.

Thanks for the pictures -

best

That is just gorgeous. Scott shared a table with Karl Andersen at Blade and I got to look over a number of the sheaths he had made for Karl's knives - major talent there for sure.

Thanks for posting up some of Scott's work, Joe.
I introduced Scott to the knife making world last year with an offering of his sheaths in Atlanta.
We met in the traditional bow hunting world and made quick, close friends.
He has done quite a long list of work for me and my customers in the last year and a 1/2.
He is dedicated and determined.
He's also quite busy.:)
If you have any leather needs that Scott can help with, better get on the list.

I agree that Scott's work is outstanding. I need to get him to do some sheaths for me. I really need to get an arm guard from him. His work will look great with my Roy Hall recurve.

Thanks for posting his work Joe and Karl.

Hi Karl

He does do killer work

I am sending him a few quivers to do some work on. I love these saddle makers they can bend leather like no other :)

Scott & Karl make a great team, loads of talent!

I am fortunate enough to have a Anderson Forge Knife and one of Scott's arm guards! Top shelf goods!

One of Scott's sheathes on a Karl Andersen Bowie.
Also met Scott at this year's Blade Show at Karl's table. We chatted, he drew up the sheath and it came out exactly as we had envisioned...

That "Gunflint" sheath above is purely outstanding, design, materials, colors and execution, all perfect. I've seen the knife and it's pretty well 100% as well!
