Leather handle care?

Guys, a good friend of mine recently gave me a model 25. At least it looks like a 25, but where the 25 handle has stag and leather, mine has black micarta and leather.

Anyway, the leather on the handle seems pretty dried out. As I understand it, I can put saddle soap on it to bring it back to better condition? Any trick to this?

Any other advice? I really love this thing and I'm planning on using the heck out of it...it'll never see the inside of a safe

Saddle soap will recondition it. For the future, I've found that the best thing for leather spacers is to just handle the knife a lot - the oil from your hands will help keep the leather conditioned. It doesn't sound like you're going to have too much of a problem with doing that.
