Leather Handle Mk I Available

One of the vendors I shop with sent me a special offer on the Ka-Bar MK I with the leather handle. Not all that "special", but I really like the look and the grind of the MK I better than the mini-marine combat model. The knife comes with a Kydex sheath, which surprises me. I figured it would come with a leather one. But no matter. The kydex won't rot. I have waited for this model to come out. I'll do a review of it here when I get it. The vendor is Knife Outlet.

Hmm. That is strange. All I know is what the special offer said. I need to check into it and see if I can get a leather sheath with it.

Edit: It appears that some vendors offer them with leather sheaths and some with kydex. Some of the original Navy MK 1s had fiberglass bayonet style sheaths, Mk 2s too. I remember them well. My dad was a US Navy WWII veteran and those knives were around for us dependents to "play" with.
