Leather handle question

Within the last couple of months, someone offered a method to bring back the washers on a leather handled knife. Does anyone either remember the thread or the method mentioned? I just acquired am WW2 combat knife with a leather handle. Thanks

Thanks hammer. Mitch if the above methods don't tighten up the handle's leather disc. Come on and post as you may need to add a leather disc. Then we'll go that direction for you. DM
