I've tried to search and failed, damn Linux.

I want to do a simple leather handle wrap, not like a Samurai sword and not a twisted up paracord deal.

The knife I'm wrapping has a full tang with some wood slabs under the wrap.

If any one has a good description or pics I would appreciate it.

Are you looking to wrap a handle with a solid piece of leather and stitch together on one side?

No stitching, just strips of leather woven(?) around the handle to hold everything together and give a good grip.

COOL:thumbup:

Try searching on midevel Europen battle wraps.
It was used on swords quite a bit

What I'm really after is a laced leather handle wrap like a bull whip.

I think I'm going to buy this book and a couple spools of 6mm kangaroo lacing.

I don't know if this is what you're looking for, but I actually did make a bullwhip (out of paracord) using these sennets. I managed to get it to wrap around the handle shaft and belly. I presume it could be put around a knife handle.

I think what you might be looking for will be found in a recent (week or so...) thread by Tai Goo titled "Recurve Bowie". It even has an animated demo. Good Luck!
