Does anyone know where you can buy a quality leather hole punch. I don't use one often but I am tired of one and done with these things. Doesn't someone make one that is of real quality? The first one I had wouldn't cut hot butter and the second one I had has not been worth bragging about and I used it the other day and literally crushed the head off sideways when I squeezed it down.
My dad had an old one that had a fixed head on it and it was virtually indestructible! You know had some real steel in it! I remember seeing one that was like it except it had interchangable heads you changed with a small wrench. I don't mind paying for quailty, I just haven't been able to locate quality yet!

If you are unsure what I am talking about check these links. The first one is like the one I crushed with my bare hands the other day and it is supposed to be heavy duty!:eek:I guess I don't know my own strength!!!!!:D

Osborne makes a good quality all steel punch. I have used this brand for years with no failures or problems. I do use a full set of the single plier type punches , but I do have the revolving model also, which is what I am recommending to you via the link. I don't care where you buy it, the link is more just to show it to you.

I like the idea of the single Osborne plier punch, seems a lot stronger than the revolving type.

I know the interchangable headed punches that you are talking about. Check out the Maxi Punch Set and the Mini Punch Set. Right now I only have the Maxi Punch set and use it almost every day. They take a lot! Need to get a Mini Punch set one fo these days.

The Osbourne revolving head punch is the only revolving head punch worth buying. It's not cheap, but I've had a couple in my kit for years. It is a real tool, designed to last for years and be repaired, the punch tubes and anvil are easily replaceable.
