Look good! Is there something on the black closing flap? Looks like a hole below the strap in the first pick?

NKlamerus it is, the flap is the edge of the cut, I left it that way. Tandy leather, manager special lol, there is also a perforated stamp on the spine that says 97% I think, but I like that, the hide was from an old cow and had a lot of texture

I really like the slant cut.

I thought about making one of these out of squirrel considering I've got a ton.

But it's so much thinner
