Due to my inadvertent storing of a knife in the leather sheath holster, the brass guard oxidized & left the inside of the sheath stained with deposits of green gunk. Apart from scraping the inside, how can I clean this out. Can I soak the sheath in something that will clean the inside? I don't want to expose the knife to this environment when carrying it. Maybe, waxing the inside, after it's clean? All recommendations are welcome. BTW it's a very nice Hueske Pro Hunter with an ivory handle, so I want it to have a nice home when out & about. I do have some Tuf-Glide & Tuf-Cloth to use on the knife when I get some issues with the ivory resolved. (see earlier post).
