Leather or Felt

Those of you that are using belt sanding machines to sharpen knives, have you found that felt does a better job at the final polishing stage than the leather belts?

I have pretty limited experience but I like my only felt belt better than my only leather belt. It was also a lot cheaper.

I like the felt better because it doesnt stretch out and get bumpy on the machine like leather.
