Hello there.

Been lurking around for a long time and has always been impressed by you guys. Learnt a lot of stuff from all these threads.

Anyway, I've been looking around for a leather pouch or Kydex sheath for my Victorinox Workchamp. I'm using the original Nylon belt pouch with Velco fastening and really don't like it. The velcro seems to lose the "stickiness" after a 6 months. As I work on a construction site, scratches on the pouch creates lot of fine-hair/lint-like-thingee. You know what I'm talking about. Seems that all lockback pouches I can find will not fit the rather large workchamp.

I really would like a thick kydex sheath for vertical belt carry. If there's none available, I'll settle for a leather pouch with a snap button closure.

I'll appreciate if someone can give me some pointers.

BTW Do any of you guys carry the workchamp?

Thanks in advance.

Welcome Sean,
I got a WorkChamp for Christmas from my boss (no sheath included).Actually, I never bothered to look into whether or not one was available. The WorkChamp is rather BULKY as you point out so I created a pouch out of leather scraps which looks like a two year old made it, but it's better than nothing.I'll be interested to see if you come up with anything...I may get one myself;)

There is production SAK sheaths, by Wenger. 2 Variations I believe, one with just a snap and one with a snab and a side pocket to hold a sharpener.

Well, I just found out if you remove a Schrade Cave Bear from it's sheath, the WorkChamp fits into it like a glove...now,what to do with the Cave Bear???Thanks Sean:rolleyes:

Thanks guys!

I've email Eric from On/Scene Tactical and am awaiting his reply.

The sheaths from Survival Sheath look very good but the prices are, in my opinion, steep for a reasonably priced production SAK.

Thanks again for the pointers guys!

You talked me into dropping by the Victorinox store around the corner.Picked-up a sheath and came out with a Kershaw Vapor II as well. Thanks again Sean:rolleyes:

Sean Hawkins,
Have you checked out the milspec cordura pouch at Sheares? About $16 and can be carried vertically/horizontally. Fits folders, and 9mm pistol mag. I think it'll fit your SAK. I'm thinking of getting that one myself.
