Leather pouch/pocket slip

Greetings, all. For those of you who carry in the leather pouch, do you remove the clip? Is removal necessary? Thanks.

I remove all the clips on my CRKs and I carry all of them in leather pouches... [emoji16]

Its not necessary to remove the clip. I expect it is nicer if you do but it will fit just fine with the clip and not cause an issue.

^This. I remove the clip on my Mnandis and some of my 21s carry and them in the slip sheath. Some of my other 21s and Zaan I carry clipped without a sheath. A CRK with a clip will fit in the sheath case fine, but it does form the sheath (as does the way you place the Mnandi in one)....

I've grown so accustom to having the clip on, that it feels strange not to have one on. If I'm using the knife for several short chores, instead of putting it back in the sheath each time, I'll clip it to my shirt/pant pocket until it's time to put it up.
So, no I don't remove the clip carrying in a pocket sheath. I carry all my CRK's in a sheath.

I also remove clips and place a CRK spacer/filler piece in. I have several so if you want to try one PM me and I'll drop one in the mail for you. I also use my own pocket sheaths.

I clip carry mkst of the time. So it stays on.

I left the clip on, and carry in my home-made latigo leather sheath. The slight bulge is not noticeable and makes the retention a little better IMHO. The clip is still handy to secure in a pocket when using the knife.
