A friend of mine that makes saddles, made me a sheath for my IZULA. It was his first and he did a great job. The IZULA stays in the sheath well.:D

I'm very jealous of all these nice leather sheaths... I'd love to learn how to make my own some day.

It really is not super hard. I have made 5 or 6 now, and the last one was for an 11 inch bladed chopper.

You can do it with minimal tools. Awl, some needles, some razors and waxed linnen thread. I also have a wheel for marking the stitch holes, and a groover to recess the thread. Some contact glue, and leather treater etc.

Now I need some snap setters......Just bought a skiver, and some multi hole punches.

I am also thinking I need a dremmel and drill press for the dremmel to make the holes much easier to make.

I have a 1x30 belt sander/disk sander combo that really makes finishing the edges easier.

But the first sheath I made I had about $10 worth of tools and a scrap piece of leather.
