Most likely this is much ado about nothing but i needed To ask to clear my mind. I have An awesome Esee 3 hm and i love The leather sheath! But i notice Some small cuts inside where the blade has scraped some maybe when I’ve re sheathed it. I am Gonna try and be careful re sheathing BUT i dint See that as sustainable when you actually use it you won’t take it out and put it back in ever so carefully each time I wouldn’t think. Is it normal for a blade to slice some on the inside of a leather sheath? I may get kydex later but i do love leather!

It's normal for the inside of a leather sheath to get cuts if you don't resheath it with care. I'm not familiar with the sheath in question, I assume it has a welt? In any case, kydex will also take cuts if you resheath the knife without care.

I wouldn't worry to much, but I'd take an extra second to resheath the knife so your sheaths don't take a beating. Or just resheath however and when the sheath wears out buy a new one.

Steel vs Leather: Steel will always win.

Car keys vs pants' pocket: car keys will always win. Holes in a pants' pocket suck.

New sheath.

New pants.

Enjoy your knife despite the 'collateral damage'. And remember to always put on a pair of before leaving your house.
