Looking for recommendations for leather sheaths, or sheath makers, for carrying an Izula in a front or rear pocket. I have seen the sheaths at KSF, and those are high on my list.

cricketdave here on the forums made me this one for back pocket carry.

I am pleased with it.

The pocket sheath Knives Ship Free sells is pretty similar to the one Dave made. My dad has one and has carried his Izula in his back pocket every day since. I sent him a link to a nice Benchmade the other day and he said "I'm done with folders." The Izula will do that to ya. :D

KSF for the win! :D

Just looks like a comb sticking out our your pocket. Very easy to draw and re-sheath. I love it.

malada, that does look like one sweet set up, I gotta say.

And it's good for all occasions. I wear jeans most of the time, but it carries the same in suits or dress pants and doesn't draw any attention at all.

only "problem" with the KSF sheath or something similar is that i wear 5.11 cargo pants because i have a very hard time finding jeans that fit well with my 33" waist and 36" inseam. i do have some khakis, but i don't wear them often.

te 5.11s have VERY deep rear pockets and a sheath like this wouldn't work well with them.

but that;s a limitation of the pants and not the sheath.

fixer - I keep a hand in some stuff locally w SAR/Dive team/ERT, etc....the uni's all have way too deep back pockets for me. I hate sitting "on" my wallet.

I took 'em to the a local tailor lady. After we got the language thing conquered and she understood what I wanted...she did 8 pairs of the BDU type pants for $10. Basically I had her make the pocket just deep enough for my wallet. She just sewed a double stitch right thru 'em...dunno, but that may work for you....

**I have no need for that sheath at all...but I'm ready to get on KSF and order it from Tom. lol!

I have this exact sheath as well and like it quite a bit when I don't wear the Izula on a belt. It is a bit harder to draw the knife since I para-cord wrapped it. The friction of the cord combined with the extra thickness in the handle makes it stick enough that you have to take it out of the pocket to draw the knife from the sheath.

I have been wrapping the knife in cloth and sticking it in the sheath over night to stretch it. Its getting better but not quite there yet.
