I have a leather sheath that has a small cut through the leather just to the side of where the edge is up near the top of the sheath. Basically, I think what happened was a co-worker took my AD out to see it and, being uncoordinated, did not have the blade lined up properly when they tried to reinsert it into the sheath. So, for anyone who has done leatherwork, what are my repair options at this point? The sheath is an old style Leatherman that is horizontal carry with the snap at the bottom for a pant beltloop.
I know what you may be thinking and, ordinarily, I would ask a person to make things right, but two things are in play here that make me hesitate: 1. He is a supervisor and I am not; and 2. I don't think he necessarily even knows he did it. In fact, I am pretty sure they he would be both shocked and dismissive about the whole thing if I even mentioned it to him. Still, I am fairly certain about what happened because the rig is with me everywhere and I am very anal about it.
Any thoughts would regarding repair would be appreciated.
