Leather supplier near Buffalo NY about 10 years ago?

I'm trying to remember the name of a supplier from upstate NY I bought a tanned horse hide from in 2011 or 2012. I'm pretty sure it was a business with one or two locations at the time, not Tandy. They had a website, and good customer support over the phone. Also, it might have been in/near Rochester, but definitely somewhere near Lake Ontario.

Does anyone here remember a place like that?

The only Hide House I know of is in Napa Ca. Some big names have disappeared from the industry like Sheridan Leather Supply and others. If you are looking for horsehide check Maverick Leather supply in Bend Or. We get quite a bit from them. We use a veg tan horsehide (butt strips) for IWB holsters that the wife makes:

She gets a lot of chrome tanned horsehide from them too for her purses and totes:

They literally have pages and pages of horsehides in different tannages and bout any color imaginable. I use em too, as they are the only supplier I know that carries whats called Saddle Boarhide used in very heavy type working chaps.

The brown accents are a lighter boarhide also from Maverick. A guy can spend a couple hours wandering around their website.

You might have been thinking of Siegel Leather. A multi generational leather supplier. They had a place here in Santa Yanez Ca. and I believe one in NY too where they were from originally. They too are out of business now. They had a huge catalog that was like the size of a Bible. Sold leathers and tools from all over the world. They carried horsehide, I bought quite a bit from them back in the day. On the inside cover of their catalog was a picture of Bo Derek getting fitted for chaps. Good gig if a guy could get it.
