Hi folks,

My son's Puuko knife is coming along. The sheath needs to be stitched together. What spacing size on the overstitch tool would you recommend for a knife sheath? Is there a commonly used spacing for that type of work?

Thanks!

Tom

Tom,
6 teeth per inch (#6 overstitch tool) seems to be the most commonly used here in the NW, but 5 per inch is often used with heavier threads or cords.

If you don't have that tool a fork works for spacing your holes pretty good.
