OK I know we use Veggie tanned leather but

what do you use for something like neck chokers and wrist bracelets?
with leather lace..

I had a lady call me yesterday that runs a store she called me to price some of these for her.. maybe I can get her to demo for me :D

I want to use supple leather and don't want to hurt pretty little necks
and get sued..

Dan, we know what you mean by leather and handling supple..................! Oh, you mean SUPPLE LEATHER? Got any leather supply houses near you? Sorry I can't help, I don't know any good looking models with cute necks that are into leather. And I thought you was the quiet shy type, you sly rascal! I would just do a search engine on finished leather and go look up the cutie for more ideas.

John you may have something there :)
nothing wrong with a little leather work ,, you know ;) :D

Dan, what about tanned whitetail deer or elk hide? Most products made from these are very soft and supple, like a pretty lady's neck. :D ;)

I'll second Razorback - elk hide (5/6 oz wgt) or buckskin (2/3 oz wgt):
contact Dan and the folks at Colorado Leather goods 719-633-8722 - a great place to do business and real nice folks....Have elk and deer in a multitude of colors from white to black

If you can try getting Brain tanned from some place the commercial tanned stuf falls apart when sweat or skin oils get to it at that thickness. Had that problem with neck knives made in a furtrade style the commercial stuff would just fall apart. So I started brain tanning my own stuff.

thanks food for thought
I'm worryed about a rash or something too.. I may concider lining them
she wants to lace them with leather too so the holes will have to hold up..

you wouldn't think there would be many problems with a piece of leather with
some holes in it.. :)

Chuck I havn't seen any Elk but I know the Deer skin can be real nice
but it may be too supple ? not sure..
