Leather weight selection: Branching out from sheaths.

I have always gotten 8-10 ounce leather for sheaths - but would like to think about making wallets, bookmarks, bracelets, and the like.

What weight leather should I get for these applications?

I use about a 3oz. on my pocket knife sheaths.

You may want try a 2 - 3oz. And go even lighter if needed?
