I made two sheaths for my Griptilian and my small Griptilian.
These are OD green so I did try something with Leather and OD webbing.
First the big griptilian it's a big knife so this big sheath is made for vertical and horizontal carry.
The knife fits tight and the clip is outside.
The back is just two plates of kydex mounted with screws and rubber washers.
The top of the side release buckle is mounted with chicago screws.

For the small Griptilian I made also one with leather and OD webbing.
But with this sheath I can easy change the OD webbing with dessert tan.
Also the knife fits tight so no need for secure the flap with a button or snap.
This one is with no button or stud very flat.

The second one looks great!!! Not so sure about the first one (???) ... so much going on there and that 'buckle' (IMHO) is way too big and out of sync/symmetry.

You are right about the first one but this my second sheath I ever made so this was a good one to practice my skills.
The knife is to big so the sheats gets verry bulky I did find out after it was finish.
I have to make a new more compact one for the big Griptilian.
The small Griptilian sheath I am very happy with because this was a successful sheath for a beginner.

They look good. If the first one was all in black, it might not look so bulky. Is it easy to replace the webbing and buckle on it?
