Leather & wood sheath

Greetings all,
I’m finishing up a project and have run into a question that I’m hoping someone here can answer. I made a sheath that’s wood on the bottom half and leather on top. The wood was finished with Tru-oil before the two halves were joined together. I plan to finish the leather with a beeswax/raw linseed oil mix. Should I have any concerns about compatibility where the two finishes overlap?

Probably not. Be careful when applying the leather finish and keep as much off the wood as possible, but even at that it should just wipe right of the wood.
