Looking at Chuck's knife sheaths reminded me that we really see very little leather here.
I'd like to encourage Chuck, Tess, Dan and some of the others that do nice leather to post some pictures.

Peter and all:

First here are some pieces from a few of my favorite makers:
Chris Kravitt - www.treestumpleather.com

This one leaves me searching for superlatives! and I've seen most of the greats - top knotch work!!!

Steve Shiffer - www.choctawplantationforge.com

Steve recently told a story where in a dealer told him his leather was crap? I told Steve well ..... let's just say the man was wrong.

Sandy Morrisey -

A matched pair by the Caliph of Cow - 81 years young and still going strong (the holster serendipitously now holds an honored place in my collection :D)

And since you've all seen a plethora of my sheaths so I figured I'd show some "other" stuff from me:
Rifle Sling #1 - with carving based on the classic Colt style of gun engraving

Rifle Sling #2 & Buttstock Cartridge holder for M1885 Winchester - the sling has inlays of chocolate brown elk hide with 10 to the inch border stitching around the inlays and 6 spi around the edge - all by hand ;) .

Well, I sure wasn't disappointed Chuck.
The one word that keeps coming to mind is "Stunning"
