A friend from up in the cold hills near Buffalo NY is a talented knife maker and his clever wife has taken up leather work and I have visited a couple times there, always enjoyable. I made mention that one day I’d like to get a small knife to use in my leather work and we talked about it for a while now and today a package arrived from him, exceptional cutter
It’s modeled after a knife that I had Mr Tony Bose make for me but I wanted just a little bit longer and wider blade.

While Tony’s blade is a little shorter it’s also a bit thicker stock, but it’s been a great cutter for a long time

So thanks again to
Matthew Gregory
looking forward to getting back up to visit later on this year

edited to add, just to be clear, this was not a pattern that Tony Bose came up with, Tony was SUPER kind to help me many years ago, short story, he asked a favour, I obliged and he felt compelled to send me a small sheepsfoot bladed knife for me to use in my leather work. But, it did not really suit how I hold and use a knife when doing a sheath and I hated to just store it away, so I sent it back to Tony. Who then asked me "Well WHAT do you want??" he was always kind hearted and wanted to help, so, I carved out of stiff foam the pattern that you see in the knife he made, mailed it off to him and he shook his head, I'm guessing, and made me an exact replica of my little foam knife and stated "I'll not be making another of these" and marked it as a Prototype. I miss him as we would email back and forth from time to time...
So, I made a 1/4" thick prototype template out of some wood and mailed it to Matt and he used that to make the overall shape of this knife for me. I had planned on being up there with him but weather and other things interfered with those plans and he surprised me today with this package...
