Anyone got any comment or info on the Leatherman 20th Anniversary Wave? I'm thinking about purchasing one, but would like to know more about it, e.g. if the black coating comes wears off will they be able to replace them with same 20th anniversary handles. Also, how many of these have LM released. I'm a LM collector. Any info welcome please.

I bought one since I didn't own an LM Wave and since I thought that a limited edition model would be cool. It does look unique; however, too bad they didn't incorporate a "special" tool(s) exclusive to this 20th Anniversary edition.

It appears that the black anodized handles will eventually get scratched. I don't know if LM would replace or refinish these handles. If that is a concern for you, then buy it and store it.

I thought this model would be relatively hard to find; however, I see it advertised in many places. Although the dealer I bought mine from is sold out, I don't think they're as "limited" as most of us believe them to be. I think I paid the regular price (around $69?) for mine but have seen one dealer charging almost $100 for the same Wave.

Those interested in a limited production Wave should also check the other thread under "Blade Discussion." Apparently, there is a "more limited" 20th Anniversary Wave (at $150) than the one I described above.
