Leatherman Charge AL

Hi,

would like ask if anyone has this tool? I'd like reviews about it cause I was thinking of getting either this or the Leatherman Wave.

I have a wave, and I gave my brother a charge al for his birthday.
I'd get the wave. Same tools, lower cost. Unless you're a steel junkie and need the high end, get the charge. The wave's steel is fine by me.

Hmm, in terms of tools, they have more or less about the same, just the material. Do you guys getting the Aluminuim one is better? The blade on the Charge AL seems better.

if you want a tool that will work get the wave, if you want a tool that is fancy and showy but doesn't work any better get the charge

I bought one of these and use it everyday and I have on my belt now.
For me this the best multiTool I own. Charge XTi

The wave will work just fine, in fact you might find yourself more prone to use it since you won't be worrying about messing up a more expensive tool. At the same time, the blade on the Charge will hold an edge better, although it will take more time to sharpen. Other than that I'd say they are functionally the same. IMO the aluminum scales are there for looks mostly, although I like the look so that doesn't bother me.

Hmm, so finally, there's no point of me spending more money on a Charge AL then a Wave when the only advantage is the better blade material and the Aluminum material of the tool?

The charge also will come -with- the Pocket clip, lanyard thing, as well as a half 'clip' of double sided screwdriver bits (8 total I think)

On the flip side, you can get the Wave + the Bit Kit, for less money than you can get the Charge for... and you end up with a lot more bits

Lava is right, the Charge will come with a pocket clip, a lanyard ring, and extra bits. I wasn't thinking about the fact that the wave doesn't come with these and you would have to order them seperate if you want them. That's part of what sells me on the Charge series, I love the clip!
