Hello everybody.
I have 3 questions for you:

1. My Leatherman Charge TTi is very dirty - it was soiled with sand and it barely moves.
What can I do?

2. How can I sharpen my serrated Knife? I used it a lot before, and it just can cut things anymore.

3. I see some "points" of rust on my S30V knife. What can I do with it?

Thanks.

1) lots of water (and a little soap if necessary). Dry it well, and oil that sucker.

2) Not my expertise, maybe someone else can help you. However, most likely the best way is to get a ceramic sharpening rod.

3) Try to strop them out. Make sure you oil your blade well when you're done.

Great suggestions about cleaning your TTI, so take your pick.

Youtube has some great videos about sharpening serrations. I have found that using wooden dowels the exeact size works best and quick to restoring any dull serrated point.

Cheers,
Serge

I open up all the tools in my Leatherman and immerse it in very hot tap water. I'll flush out all the pivot areas and crevices. Then I'll dry it as best I can with a towel, the let it air dry for awhile. After that I'll spray it down with WD-40 and again, wipe it down. Works well for me :)

blast with carb cleaner, then blow out with your aircompressor, and after spray with wd-40 and dry with your favorite shop cloth.

All of it, even though it's more of a penetrating oil it still oils it, its almost like having gas mixed with an oil. I think its a good inbetween, but it isnt realy hardy enough for like a car door hinge, some things just require more than a straight oil too.

I used WD-40 and now the tool is very "oily".
What can I do to make it comfortable to use again?

wipe it down with a cotton cloth, I use the red rags from the auto store, then it should have oil in the joints.

The suggestions you are receiving here are excellent, but if i may ask, how did the TTI get to be so sand encrusted?
