I would check the Leatherman site for their customer service number. I don't know if they will customize but it's worth asking them what tools you might need to do it yourself.
I would give up the knife blade on a Pulse altogether if I could get a saw in its place. That would make it the perfect multitool for me.

Agree altogether about the pulse with a saw. That's why I also carry my supertool with the crunch. Find the swiss champ also a nice one as EDC with crunch but I like to have a regular pliers as a combo with the crunch, although the vise works well as a regular in most cases as well.
