Just bought myself a Leatherman Crunch today :D

I don't hear much about the LM crunch on the forums.
I found a little info on the crunch using the search.

I have been looking at getting a LM crunch for sometime and after dealing with Leatherman customer service with my Wave and seeing that there customer service is the best I decieded to go ahead and buy the crunch.

I think I'm really going to like the locking pliers and the 1/4 " bit adapter.

Anyone else have one of these?
How long have you had it and hows it holding up?

I've been carrying a Crunch for three or four months now. Haven't had anything really tough to throw at it, but it has been very useful! Not only is the locking plier a great thing to have around, but I have been impressed with how well its other tools function.

I purchased a Leatherman Crunch last year after seeing it on their website and thus far I've had absolutely no problems whatsoever. Although I haven't had occasion to use it often (I find the needlenose pliers on the PST2 to be more applicable to everyday situations), during those times when I have been required to press it into service it has performed admirably. It's not only turned stubborn bathroom fixtures and/or small pipes, but has also been used as an impromptu vice (for straightening the blade on a kitchen knife) and even assisted in the repair of my bicycle.

My only complaint (if you can call it that, since it has no bearing on either the durability or performance of the tool) is a minor cosmetic blemish that the factory informs me was the result of an error in the finishing process. They've offered to replace it, but thus far I've been reluctant to part with the tool. I suppose you could say that we've just grown too close. :D

Leatherman has an awesome website. The way they display the crunch is great.

Yes, there website is preaty cool.

HotSwat: Do you have a Crunch?

Not to many so far, anyone else?

I find that the Leatherman Mini-Tool makes the perfect companion to the Crunch. Between the two you can do almost anything and the Mini-Tool really is tiny.

I love my Crunch. Those locking pliers can do things that other multitools can't. Plus, it's nice and light; I frequently carry mine on hiking and backpacking trips.

Okay, new question ~ how many Crunch owners, besides myself, think that this little gadget is just plain fun to put together and take apart? :D

Come on, fess up...

I'm still trying to figure out a way to one-hand open the Crunch. ;)

I have a Crunch. My wife bought it for me for Christmas a couple of years ago. I thought that it might not be too durable since the pliers disassemble but it has held up well. I don't normally carry it but I have used it around the house on plumbing and small woodworking projects. I haven't really used the bit adapter because I don't like having to unscrew the hex bolt to get to it.

BTW it is fun to play with...........
