Well, I twisted the smallest screwdriver on my LM PST and being a do it yourself kind of guy I tried to straighten it in a vice. It broke :( I boxed it up and sent it to LM on 10/20. Today UPS dropped off a shiny new PST at my door. I was happy but somewhat suprised that they would replace an entire tool over a ten cent part. And where did they get a new PST? Are they still making new ones to replace old ones sent in on warranty claims?

It is very likely that what they sent you was a referbished PST from their stock that someone else had sent previously for repair. They can get a quicker turn around this way rather than repairing your actual PST.

Has your new PST got a date stamped on the inside of the handles ?

Dunc
The side with the blade has "1004" stamped on the inside of the handle.

on a side note..this way of doing "repiars" netted me 3 NEW waves..each time it was an upgrade!

you cannot beat/match that service IMO!

True that. Aside from the broken screw driver, my old PST was pretty well worn.
