I bought this knife (e33T) a week or two ago. I like it very much. I owned the older counterpart the e302. I really liked that one also but there were shortcomings. The newer version has some great improvements: The blade launcher I really didn't use much on the old one, but the new one is really nice. If you put pressure straight down (toward the pivot pin) on the launcher and bend back your first knuckle and then flick your finger down, the blade flies open! (No offense to anyone. I just figured this out now, I'm a little slow!)
The blade is a nice 154 CM, great steel IMO. With a new feature I love, thumb gimping. (I feel if the handle material was a little lower near the thumb ramp it would be much better. I may modify that. The egros on this knife are great, feels nice in the hand. A very nice, simple (in a good way) design. The pocket clip is improved immensely, works great and looks great! Also, it has nice brass washers instead of the old nylon ones, which make for a nice action. No blade play anywhere! (someone already pointed this out on Bladeforums, they said some good things about this knife. That is what got me interested!)
I had to cut something requiring a bit of force so I opened the caribeaner (cap lifter) and secured it at the rear of my palm. I wouldn't want to use it like this for long, but it sure helped apply the torque I needed at the time.
I love the drivers. They are heavy duty and snap into place very well. Overall a real nice design. One very nice thought out touch is the threaded brass inserts under the plastic that the clip screws into. Makes you feel like they wanted it to last a long time.
I've been wanting to carry the lighter Skelletool but was not happy with relying on the drivers. Now I can carry a standard #2 Philips and a good size flat head driver (unlike the one on Skelletool) on my knife. That allows me to have, #0- #3 Philips bit and a 3/32 and 3/16 flat bit on the Skelletool.
e33T, Skelletool and my SAK Executive make a nice combo. Don't even get me started on the flashlights!
