I emailed Leatherman about the new Freestyle. I asked about the blade size and whether or not the carbiner folds. Here's the response that I got from customer service:

The tool has a 2.6 inch blade, and the prototypes weigh in at about 5 oz. The carabiner is a part of the handle and does not fold into the handle. The bit driver is housed inside the carabiner without hindering the performance of the carabiner. The prototypes are 5/8” thick.

I would have like for the carbiner to fold and for it to have a pocket clip, but it still seems interesting. For those of you that haven't seen a picture. Here it is.

You got a lot more out of them than I did. All they told me was when it was going to be available. I thought it would be thinner and lighter than the specs you were given.
