Hi guys!

I need help deciding between these two tools, I'm gonna be gifting a couple of them.

The tool selection on both models is pretty much the same, and so is price.

I own a Wingman myself and I'm a bit disappointed, however, I have never owned a Fuse or any of its similars (Kick , Blast), I know its a classic design with no outside-accesible tools but I hear that the pliers are better and stronger. (The people I'm giving these to are knife- guys, so they'll mainly carry this for the pliers and drivers)

What about quality, is the Fuse better built??? Are the dirvers better then those on the Wingman???

Thanks for any input.

I love my Wingman. I was SO happy when Leatherman came out with a full size tool with a pocket clip. I was carrying a Skeletool and it just wasn't enough. It was better than nothing, but just barely. I use the pliers most of the time and I find them completely suitable on the Wingman for their intended use. I've used the drivers often enough that I have confidence in their ability to handle most issues. I just used the phillips driver to remove a door lock latch plate and re-install in a lower position this weekend. It drove 1 inch drywall screws into wood easily. I also like that I can access the knife with the tool closed.

I carry enough stuff on my belt already that I had to have something with a pocket clip. I often wear shorts without a belt, so I can still carry the Wingman securely. As long as your friends don't mind having a sheath on their belt, the Kick/Blast series is superior to the Wingman in overall construction and design, IMO.

It's an easy decision...if you think they'll want to carry it as a primary knife (one hand access), in a pocket or while wearing clothes that don't have a belt, get the Wingman. Other than that, get the Fuse.

I've never had a wingman but I have owned and still do have a few fuses. It is one of the best tool out there imo. I added a eclipse to mine to make it pocket clip carry. Hope that helps. Ash
