Hi I have an old 10+ years Leatherman. Over the years I've snapped of a few of the driver blades. Is there a place I can send it to get them replaced. Or should I just trash it and get a newer multitool.

Leatherman's all come with a 25 year warranty, so you should be able to send it back in to them for repairs. I expect you can find out where to ship it from their web site.

calling is better!

during the day.... they will tell you EXACTLY what to do step by step!

awesome service!!!!!!!

And get the new Core or Surge! Two really good multi tools, I wish they came out with these first and I would have not bought the Charge's I have.

Well it took me a couple of years to finally send in my Leatherman but I finally did. I was thrilled with the CS as I received my tool back fast. Now it's just like new. Thanks for the help guys.

I like that leatherman renews the warranty on the new tool, a good compromise after they had to change to the 25 year warranty for legal reasons iirc. It is too bad that they have discontinued some models, my dad felt that the pst was the perfect setup, and when he got something different back, it just wasn't good. I can't argue with his opinions though, he changed an aircraft engine in the field with his, and picked my leatherman pulse for me, I can't come up with a better set up for my needs. if I'm wearing pants, I'm wearing my leatherman.

That's how product loyalty is formed, even when you realize, basically, that any multitool, or sometimes even a sharp stick, could have done the job. :D

BTW, HUGE Leatherman fan, here.

That's one of the best responses I've seen in a while znapschatz! I get a kick out of people who say that (insert brand) is/are garbage...hey, I've had a Chinese P.O.S. save the day for me before...;)

I think I have the first model they made. I've seen a ton of newer models with tons of other features but I still like my basic early model more. I've considered upgrading a couple time but this works for me. However if I were to upgrade it would be to another Leatherman model because of the great service.

When I sent my wave back, I had the older style. The new ones with the locking screwdrivers had been out for a while. I asked them if I could have the older style and they accomodated me.I don't think I have ever seen a better customer service than Leathermans.
I don't understand why there is a Leatherman hater crooud around here. The lates I heard was pinched fingers.(A little common sense aleviates this problem). It happens on some of the other brands also.

It's those with fat pudgy fingers that get the pinch:D Those with working mans hands have no such trouble, if they do they just suck it up..
Yes, I love Leatherman. Hate whiners..:grumpy:

Other multi-tool people are constantly (don't know why) surprised at how light my LM is. I honestly watched a salesman show a guy one of the vic plier tools not long after they came out, and he showed how it was heavy enough to use as a short club. I had to laugh. and yes, the best multitool on the planet is the one you have on you that makes you someones hero for the day. I just love fixing stuff for people. :)

They rebuilt it? usually they just replace them. What model did you get?

I have the First model leatherman to hit the market I think (got it about 13-15 years ago). It has a pair of needle nose pliers, a file, knife, screwdrivers and the item I use the most THE ALL IMPORTANT BOTTLE OPENER! Three of the drivers were broke and my knife blade was in bad shape. I'm sure they just replaced my blade and drivers and shipped it back.
It did take me a couple of years to send it in because I carry it almost daily but it's finally done now.
