i really like all the tools that came with it but i do have one complain.....the awl!
IMG_2494.jpg

the awl is pretty blunt for its purpose. i think i can't even poke a hole on a leather belt with this. i'm wondering why leatherman doesn't make their awl sharp/pointed like the one you find on the SAKs. another thing is the can openner could have been sharper at the end for better cutting of the lids. i saw a video on youtube that the can opener works just fine so i'm not really complaining :D
maybe leatherman has a reason for doing these ?

That is my favorite leatherman... wine bottle opener, satisfactory straight blade, a decent phillips head, the bottle/can opener, the pliers, and of course as important as the other features.. the mini scissors. Those to me are required on a multitool. The rest is extra crap :D I might pick up a few more of these as I do find myself wanting one everywhere.. in my pack, one in the car.. on my person.. etc..

You will enjoy that tool, later!

That's a great Leatherman. I really like the Juice series. They're small, but large enough to be very functional. Enjoy!

Sux, but easy to fix. Sharpen the awl with whatever stone you use on your blades and likewise the can opener edge. I did this on mine, took about ten or so minutes, now both work well enough for their design function. Just be careful when opening bottles because the sharper can opener edge can pierce the caps.

znapschatz, which part of the can opener did you sharpen? just want to be sure coz i really don't want to sharpen the wrong edge LOL!

NEVERMIND, I JUST FIGURED IT OUT LOL!

Can't go wrong with CS4, been my EDC for a while now, love it. Has just about everything you'd ever need, and in a small package.

Yeah, the awl was pretty dull, but like they said, easy enough to sharpen up.

The only downside I had, my flat heads are really tight and sometimes require help (key/coin) getting out (even after a lot of oil and loosening).

+1 i ended up leaving my folding knife when the CS4 is in my pocket:D
i cut myself on my thumb the first time i tried accessing the flat screws (twice):o with a little break free and few practice, they're much easier now to pull out

i have ordered one and would like to hear some nice stories until it arrives here. Anyone, who has something to tell?

I have the Juice XE6, bigger sibling to the CS4. It's part of my EDC partly because it's so damn handy, and partly because I get less of the OMG! factor when I pull it out to open packaging or whatever at work, play, etc.

On a side note, I was bored the other day after work while waiting for a ride, and as I was standing beside a big shipping crate made out of wood boards, hard or soft, I don't know. Anyway, I decided to try out the saw on my SOG Powerlock.

Well, it did the job - the plank was 3-1/2" x 7/8" - but it was pretty slow, I didn't have gloves on and my hands weren't too happy, but it worked. Then, I remembered the XE6 in my front pocket, and pulled out its saw; Half the thickness of the SOG PL, but I've always liked the teeth, and sure enough, I figure it took half the time. I should have kept track.
Pretty nice for a cute purple MT!

And that's the board they're sitting on.

Well my CS4 arrived today. Pretty nice and small. The tools open and close very well, no problems, that they were too stiff or that the saw wasn´t aligned enough.

My decision for the CS4 was because of the saw. I carry a small fixed blade for edc and have a SAK Farmer, which i don´t carry most of the time. As a for a secondary tool i missed the pliers. Why taken the extra tool, if it is not complete?

I read a lot about ppl. who have choosen the S2 over the CS4 because of the smaller and lighter package. I see that but decided for me, that the saw is more important even though i have to take the cork screw with it. (I live, where the Riesling whine comes from and more and more whine bottles are closed without cork, cork screws are going to get useless). Without the saw, something would miss.

A Farmer plus a S2 would have come heavier and less comfort to carry than a CS4. Three things to carry...

Lets see, how it works. :-)

I have a CS4 - rides in the console in my car.

I added the Vic small screwdriver to the corkscrew as the OP did - picked one up at the local B&M store.

I also sharpened my awl - not a lot - just enough to give it more bite than stock.

Great MT when you just don't feel like lugging around one of the big boys.
