Leatherman Juice S2 Question

So I haven't had a multi-tool in like 10 years. The last multi-tool I had was a leatherman, and I think it was the Micra. I decided to buy me a couple small ones for EDC. I bought me the squirt ps4 and the juice S2. Well when I opened up the juice the pliers were extremely tight. It was as if they had been glued shut they were soo tight. The phillips and the flat head attachments are also very tight. I spent about an hour lubing them up in an effort to loosen them. This hasn't worked.

Are multi-tools suppose to be tight? Like i can understand them being a little tight at first, but this Juice seems to be a little too tight. I have broke the nails on both of my thumbs trying to loosen the phillips and flat head! The pliers are still pretty tight and haven't really loosened up too much.

I was wanting some feedback from ya'll here to see what you thought and any ideas you might have for me. I am thinking about just sending them into Leatherman to have them fix them or do whatever it is they do. I wish I could just let you guys feel them so that you knew exactly what is going on with them.

Here is a picture of it. I really like Leatherman and don't have any problems with them. I just want to be able to use it without needing a pry-bar to open the attachments with.:(

IMHO the S2 is a pretty good compromise in size and features. A good choice. It should NOT be that tight. Send it to Leatherman and they will make it right.

i only have the xe6, ..so.. the screwdrivers are not that easy to open, in the idea that if i'm not careful i can nick my fingers pretty easy with their sharp heads, but they sure aren't that tight as you describe.
also, the pliers are not tight at all.
try opening the tools under some hot water with soap, dry it well, and see if it helps.
also, some wd40 has loosen up many of my too tight tools.

Mine was smooth and with nice action when I got it, the screwdrivers can be a little stiff but not in the way you describe. IMO send it back to leatherman they will definitely make it right.

*UPDATE*

OK, I kind of feel stupid :stupid: about this but when I go the Juice it was on a cold day. I didn't even think about it at the time, but I think it was because it had been cold and the grease was a bit hard or something. Not really sure what, but the next day I was talking to a bunch of guys from work and they wanted to take a look at it. So I went home for lunch and grabbed it to bring in. I opened it up and it was as smooth as butter! Everything opened up perfectly. It wasn't too tight and wasn't too loose. Just the right amount slide.

Thanks for your suggestions and help, I had printed out the form and was about to send it in, but everything works good now. I am really happy with the purchase and have used it 4 or 5 times since I bought it.
