I am going to carry this tool in my pocket everyday for edc. Is the extra weight of the CS4 worth it for the extra tools?

Whats the SC4 add - saw, awl and corkscrew? For me it would not be worth the slight additional size and weight. I never use a corkscrew, and the Juice awl is not sharp and basically just is a pointy thing. Its very subjective, though, and you really have to decide if you need those tools in your arsenal.

When I carry a Juice, its an XE6 on my belt. That model is the smallest of any multitool of any maker (that I can find) which has every tool.

But as between the S2 and CS4, and for pocket carry, I would go with the S2. Thats just me.

the only thing i want thats on the cs4 is the saw, but there isnt one with the saw and without the corkscrew and awl

Another option would be the Juice S2 plus a Victorinox Farmer or Pioneer Harvester, each of which are fairly thin and have a saw.

Or just go with the dang CS4. Since you are after the saw, that may be the way to go. :)

I have the CS4 and my girlfriend has the S2. For the past three years of carrying it, I've used the screwdrivers and the scissors more often than anything else. I've needed the corkscrew a few times, the saw once, and have never used the awl. I find myself wishing I had gotten the smaller one. My advice: go for the S2.

how much bulkier in general is the cs4 than the s2? is it hard to tell the difference in size/weight?

The overall length doesn't change, it's the thickness to accommodate the extra tools. The weight difference on paper is about an ounce (4.4oz for the S2, 5.5oz for the CS4), so between the numbers and my experience, I'd call that significant enough to notice. I generally will not pocket carry my CS4; I use a Ripoffs brand clip-on nylon sheath. Hope this helps!
