Does anyone have this knife? It seems like a great deal at 30 bucks. Any input on leatherman knives?

I have never owned a leatherman knife, only their multitools. I would expect their knives to be good quality.

what really caught my eye was that this knife has 154cm steel!

Here are some pics from Leatherman:

The biggest drawback is that it looks like tip up carry only, but it does have a pop-out carabiner/ bottle opener, so... Cheers!

If you like it get it but IMO leatherman is a multitool company.

Its not a bad steel kinda like VG-10 just not as easy to sharpen.

Leatherman's knives, to me, look like SOGs that got run over by the UPS truck during a delivery.;)

Had a similar older model Leatherman (can't remember the model designation, since superceded - it had a screwdriver attachment side by side with the 154 CM blade, with a can opener and carabiner/bottle opener at the other end). Fit/build quality is ok but it is not especially sturdy (although that may have been because of the side by side blade/screwdriver attachment in mine). The blade holds a reasonable edge (it is 154 CM but ?not the CPM made variant, it had a good slicing edge out of the box due to a shallow grind but doesn't hold the edge for quite as long as VG10 on the original Spyderco Manix or Fallkniven F1), the lock back is ok but it is no Manix - IMO Spyderco makes SEVERAL more sturdy blades although they can be more $. ?The new Manix 2 is 154CM, maybe worth a look?

The carabiner works for opening bottles, it is a little fiddly and the spring on the carabiner is not that strong... but the beer still tastes the same :D

It's not a knife I carry often but mine was the right price at the time. I do still love the LM multitool Charge Ti!

Go for it, love to hear your review
