I lost my Benchmade Griptilian at work the other day #$%^&*!! I don't usually EDC it, but I did and it disappeared somewhere.

Anyway, I was looking at other knives with similar blade designs and steel (154CM) and came across the Leatherman K502X. I bought the Grip as a folder for hiking and EDC and the Leatherman looked pretty good-- big fat handle, 3.1" flat ground 154CM blade, and the added versatility of the screwdriver with interchangeable bits, a can opener, and the carabiner (which should help me keep this one). Of course, if Leatherman made one like this with a saw and scissors, I would be in hog heaven :)

Anybody have experience with this knife?

I looked at a couple of leatherman knives, can't remember which model, but the constrution quality isn't as good as their multitool, all the parts feel loose.

I disagree with the above statement. I own a K502X and K500X models. Both of these are the 154cm and very well made. Some of their 420 models are lacking some, but not these. I carried my K502X for over 1 yr as a heavy duty work knife. It was worked hard on many occasions with excellent results. I keep it in the door of my truck for those times a tough knife is needed. I think you would be very happy with that knife. Its a very comfortable knife due to thickness and heft.
