Looks Like they are releasing a multitool geared toward younger less experienced users. One nice feature is the knife blade can be added or removed depending on the user's (parents) comfort level. But it may be a useful EDC that can be converted to a knife restricted area/TSA friendly multitool.

That's a cool idea. I have still have the PST I got in Boy Scouts, and in excellent condition.

A grade school appropriate multitool? Perhaps this Leatherman (minus the blade) would be okay in schools and colleges were regular knives are forbidden/discouraged. Although I thought once the blade goes on this knife its not removeable, unless they charged the specs.

With the saw being present I doubt the schools (K-12) will be accepting of it.

You can normally carry knives on college campuses with a few blade length restrictions.

In urban areas you are probably right, but in some suburban/rural areas older students might be allowed to carry this tool. It all depends on the mentality of the school administrators and if they consider a saw for "cutting flesh" or cutting materials in shop class. In terms of Zero Tolerance (The Policy) blades are not negotiable, be other tools could be. This being said, cutting the knife off the Juice might be a more viable option for high schoolers.
