This morning after breakfast, I went to a new supermarket- type store called "Rural King". Figuring this place would have knives, I went to the back. It was pretty sad. They had some Lansky knives and cheap-o sharpeners, and a lot of other cheap $5 knives. And then there were a couple of Leatherman multitools. The had the Super Tool 300, Wingman, Sidekick, Crater... And the Micra.

I figured, hey, I wanted a Micra. So I got it.

Now to the review:

The Micra consists of "10 tools", but most of them are just little things packed on there so they can say "10". But it does have some tools that I would use. The main function on this is the scissor. It's spring loaded and quite sharp, I like it. It also has tweezers which I love.

The Micra is also quite nicely sized. Fits in a pocket like a dream, since it's so small. It's only two and a half inches when closed:

Here it is next to a Wave:

So yes, it's quite small. But it's very lightweight and compact. It also has a few tools that I like, and it's made from stainless steel to boot.

Overall, I love it. Great product, good job Leatherman!

Reminds me of Vampire Gerbil and his micra bayonet.

I use my Micra every so often. It got a bit rusty stuck in the pocket of one of my bags, but it's surprisingly useful.

I carry and use mine often. The tweezers are different design than the SAK but work well. I miss plyers but to be honest I dont know (at this size)how usefull they would be. Usually carry a kick anyways. The only problem I have is that I cant sharpen the sissers (?!?) now that they are dulled from use. Any suggestions other than spelling lessons?

I like the tweezers so much more than the ones in a SAK. Heavier gauge steel that you can actually grip something with. It's not nearly as good as a dedicated pair of tweezers, but it'll do in a pinch.

I use the scissors alot. I started with the Micra and then got the Squirt S4. My EDC in my right pocket varies from day to day but the S4 in my left pocket never does.

Call LM and ask if they can help, or do you mean that normally you can sharpen scissors and these aren't sharpening? I guess either way it can't hurt to call and ask if anything can be done.

If you have a sharpmaker, although I haven't tried it on these in particular, it's my go-to sharpener for scissors. Great tool.

I keep one on my Key Ring, I use the nail cleaner and file more than anything, I like the scissors too, it is a great little addition to EDC kit.

The Micra is one of the FEW long-standing pieces of personal property I've owned longer than a decade, possibly closer to TWO. When did they come out? I've used mine on my keyring for years, and stick it IWB often to suspend my keys there. However, it's not at all bulky, so it's also fine inside the pocket. About once I year, I will clean it, opening all of the tools and using a bit of Flitz and a brass toothbrush to take care of what little surface rust has grown.

Scissors are the most used, for sure. Twice the beefiness of a SAK. That, or the blade cut coupons and address labels off of magazines. I use the scissors to clean and trim my nails also. I've never felt the need to sharpen either, and the blade is still a little scalpel. The eyeglass screwdriver has been great, and the bottle opener several times a week. The flat-Phillips is also great. Might have used the tweezers once or twice, but never the fingernail tool, LOL.

I think I would recommend it over a SAK, in many cases, but certainly in addtion-to one.

I have kept a Micra on my key ring for years. It's small & lightweight but big enough to actually be useful. I use the scissors & nail file most often but every feature has been useful. I'd hate to be without it! Highly recommend Micra!

good idea on the sharpmaker, I dont own one but have several v type ceramic rod devices. I'll give it a try. Mostly the size of the "blades" is my problem.
Ive got one on every key ring so I should have plenty of practice ahead.

I've had one also since it came out.
It was fairly inexpensive compared to other Leatherman products as I recall.
Mine's on a John Deere keyring my son gave me, can't miss it.
I like the scissors the most, really robust little guys.
Everything works well on it. I like it.

Great little tool. Been carrying one for years, regardless of what other knife I may have. Really I just don't leave home without it.
Considering size, utility and quality its near impossible to beat.
