any usage experience etc? I want the largest leatherman w/ the most accessories and features w/molle synthetic sheath...

I use a MUT every day on our farm, and I pocket carry using the clip, not the sheath. The sheath is nice but it gets in the way when working with animals.
The Surge is nice as well, outside accessible blades, and a few more tools, I used to EDC it until I got the MUT.
The MUT works quicker for me here, the strap cutter is great on bailing twine, the punch actually serves multiple uses, the oddest being used to clear clogged nozzles on sprinklers in the hay, and the long screwdriver bits are great. It sees "hard use" daily, and still functions perfectly.
The Surge also held up well doing the same tasks, and it is my go to tool if I need more functions, like files, and scissors.

I think they feel to be about the same in regard to durability, I've been using the MUT for almost a year EDC, and no serious wear has really showed up yet, but I EDC'd the Surge for years with minimal wear also. They are both stout enough to handle the abuse I have given them.
The 25 year warranty will cover any minor differences that may show up in durability between the two, and I would make my decision based on the tools needed.

I'll chime in as I've broken my MUT once, and had it replaced for a brand new one. The weakest point of the whole tool is the main body with the Combo knife and saw. The blade locks are cut out of the main body on each side, reducing the strength, mine cracked on one side there after much use of the crimper and cutters, once that happened it would no longer let me open the plier head as there was no tension, it still closed fine, but you would have to use one hand on each side pry the plier head back open.

Aside from that issue, which was fixed no questions asked, I loved my MUT. It is able to hold 12 different bits if you take out the long schanked bits (I need my Robertson #2 as they are such a popular screw head in Canada). The strap cutter works great, it`s nice to be able to replace all of the cutting surfaces on the tool if you decide to cut through something you shouldn't. The bronze scraper is a decent awl if you are careful, the saw is very nice and the carabiner/bottle opener works well.

I think the Supertool 300 is an amazing multi tool for hard use. I have cut through 3/16 thick by 1 1/2 wide metal banding straps by snipping the length of the cutters each time, I did not think it would do it, but the 154cm cutters are very tough. I have no experience with the surge but imagine it is somewhere between a charge and ST300 for durability. The Rebar might be the perfect edc if you can live without outside one hand opening blades or interchangeable drivers.

The ST300 is what I'd take for a construction site or outdoor job, the MUT is more for a warehouse/technical profession where you might see a lot of different bits and need a strap cutter or a pocket clip. If you don't know what the day holds in store for you grab a Charge.

Hope that was somewhat helpful, if it wasn't, just buy them all! Then call it a collection.

All I know is I compared many spec sheets to try and make heads or tails of which one might suit me better, I never figured it out. Hope I can pass on some useful information.

I actually made a wrench to take the ST300 apart today, worked great. Got the idea at edcforums http://edcforums.com/threads/diy-leatherman-pivot-screw-wrench-disassembly-charge-al.84132/ I want to put my tti bit driver on the ST300 but can't bring myself to disable one tool, I may have to find a real beat up charge and cannibalize it.

See now youre talking...in a SHTF situation, I want a leatherman that adapts to everyday bits from the local hardware store...
