Well after all the knives and tools I have owned I finally found the ultimate tool, I just recieved my Leatherman Crunch Tool w/Nylon from www.inetdirectsales.com/outdoor.htm thank you for whoever recommended that site...THIS TOOL PUTS ALL OF GERBERS TO SHAME!!!

I got a leatherman wave for christmas, and it is one of my coolest gadgets.

I used to have a Craftsmen multi, but the handles collapsed. Took it back and got a Leatherman PST for free. For Christmas I got a Leatherman Super Tool 200. I really like the Leatherman products.

I have a leatherman supertool. This is actually the third leather man I have had to buy. I left the first one on my bumper in a rain storm after cutting the rope to hold down a tarp, and the second on is on the bottom of the white river it fell out of my pocket while trout fishing.
I like the locking blades on the supertool and think that the leatherman tools are the best of the bunch.

I'll stick with gerber myself. I haven't found any leathermans that stand up to abuse like my 600. I added to the list of things I've done to it yesterday. I cut the ends off of about 30 3/32" steel welding rods with the wire cutters (flux was going bad, cooked the end but didn't want to toss the whole rod). No damage at all to the pliars.

I agree ry4wn, the Crunch is also part of my EDC. I find that my Crunch and Supertool are a great combo with the micra in pocket. Looking forward to a Wave-like model with locking inners.

I'll stick with SOG multi-tools. I carry a Deluxe Pocket PowerPlier and a CrossCut, and have had NO problems with either one, and have been served very well with both.

Leatherman over Gerber anyday, my Gerber always pinched my hand when I cut coathangers and hard wire.

The Leatherman has never failed me, although I prefer the Supertool to any of the other Leathermans. If the Wave had locking tools, a ruler, crimpers, and was a little bigger I'd like it more.

Just want to add a vote of confidence for the leatherman supertool. Mine has held up very well with hard use and little care. Never owned a Gerber to compare it to.

For years, I have always had a Leatherman on my belt, and to this day, no model that I've had has ever let me down. I currently carry a SuperTool 200 and hope to pick up a Crunch to complement for my work carry, and a Pulse for non-work EDC.

I have tried Gerber but wasn't too fond of their opening mechanism. At one time, I also had a SOG TiNi Powerlock which was built like a tank, but their screwdrivers needed a little more length for my needs.

To sum it up, I've strayed some from Leatherman, but in the end I always gone back to the best multitool brand out there.
