I was recently looking at Leathermans for sale at a popular online retailer, and I noticed that several models had jumped up in price. I just bought a Rebar last March for around $43 shipped, and it now would be around $58 from that same retailer. Curious, I decided to shop around. It looks like the MSRP has gone up, which is to be expected due to inflation/taxes/materials/etc, but I then noticed that another large retailer is now adding a discount to leatherman models that is only visable at checkout (like the below MAP discounts tend to be). Do you guys think or know if Leatherman is jumping on the MAP bandwagon? Can we expect Benchmade-like enforcement of MAP prices in the future? So far I was only able to find one major online dealer who is selling leathermans at prices close to what I bought my Rebar for in March which kind of stinks because I wanted to buy a Surge later this year.
